Just that! Have only been able to wear dresses and skirts in this lovely weather but dear god the thigh chafe is now painful! What do you do to stop it?

Cycle shorts! Or roll on deodorant on your inner thighs. It's awful. I got some really expensive stuff from boots that promised to stop it but doesn't, but it does relieve the pain when you have it already if that helps x

AngeloMysterioso · 09/06/2018 11:32

Cycling shorts or body glide. Body Glide is brilliant stuff.

KarinVogel · 09/06/2018 11:33

If its just skin to skin touching when you walk roll on deoderant will help enormously.Let it dry before you set off though!
For legs that actually cross over when you walk you need more protection like cycle shorts . Pulls you together slightly so helps the dress sit better.

I use cavilon barrier cream. Works a treat for me. About £10 a tube but a little goes a long way.

katmarie · 09/06/2018 11:37

Lanacane anti chafing gel works really well for me. I used it on my wedding day, hottest day of the year, heavy dress, lots of sweating and chafing, and it was really effective for me.

Bandalettes are the only thing that has worked for me- I have spent a small fortune on different creams and lotions all of which seem to work on everyone else except me.

Bandalettes are like the lacy top bit of stockings, and they look quite sexy if you accidentally flash someone- but more importantly, they work! You can get them on amazon.

CheeseGirl4 · 09/06/2018 12:09

Bodyglide, I swear by it, it's brilliant stuff. I've used it in tropical countries with no chafe at all. It goes on like a solid stick deodorant and is effective immediately, one application lasts all day.

bridgetreilly · 09/06/2018 12:34

Solid deodorant.

SandyY2K · 09/06/2018 12:35

Talcum powder is helpful.

PinglePongle · 09/06/2018 12:37

Lanacane for me too, works wonders

Fluffyears · 09/06/2018 12:40

Lajscane abs body glide wat off within 10 steps. The big bloomers company do breathable shorts and bandelettes are brilliant.

kalinkafoxtrot45 · 09/06/2018 12:43

Lancane - or at a pinch, hair serum. Best of all, though: Sloggi long leg knickers. Long drawers are great and so comfy.

TheHodgeoftheHedge · 09/06/2018 12:46

Another vote for Bodyglide here

LouiseEH · 09/06/2018 12:47

Deodorant stick

dinodiva · 09/06/2018 12:51

Sloggi pants that are like cycling shorts. Got them off Amazon.

bookmum08 · 09/06/2018 12:52

I bought some cheap tights and chopped the legs off.

Eliza9917 · 09/06/2018 12:52

Clear tights or cycling shorts.

I saw some shorts recommended on here once, bamboo something or other, they looked really good.

ohcecelia · 09/06/2018 12:54

Control underwear that are shorts, of Lush Silky Underwear.

BigRedBoat · 09/06/2018 12:54

Liquid talc, less messy than powder

Dmacka75 · 09/06/2018 12:57

These are fab

I use an anti chafe balm called for her, it cost me 12 pounds but has lasted 2 years

fiorentina · 09/06/2018 13:27

Longer term, squats and lunges definitely help. And wearing natural fabrics clothing wise to reduce sweat.

TheHodgeoftheHedge · 09/06/2018 13:39

@Dmacka75 do those ride up? Only I mistakenly bought the shorter ones and they just roll right up even though they are plenty big enough
