Just that really. I'll be redecorating my living room soon and I'm after some ideas of what to change and what colour scheme to go!

I wouldn't post one but there was a thread recently where someone posted a photo of t heir living room and asked if people thought it was messy. Lots of people posted photos of their living rooms on that thread. MN is a bit weird but no more so than people are generally really. Humans in casual social interactions work on their perception of how trustworthy the other person seems. Online this is harder to judge so the conclusions made and the effect of the hat on requests from an op can seem more random than in fave to fave interactions.

My family feel the heat, so customised our living room to keep us cool.

As a few people have said, MN is so bizarre! I asked people to show me their picture rails once and lots of people happily obliged, posting photos of the picture rails in their houses. People often ask to see living rooms etc and they get hundreds of serious replies with photos and then you get this, an entire thread of pisstaking

Ah, yes, great idea to replace that old-fashioned stove with a cutting edge gas fire and retro-inspired orange swirly carpet . Green curtains with orange was a bold choice, but I think you've made it work, @AintNobodyHereButUsChickens.
