Neighbors are just morons

Having some work done in my house and had to use a drill to fix it to the wall. The neighbors then bang on wall then 7am they decide to bang and sing at top of their voices to get back at us.( I’m up b4 them and go to bed after them so not disturbing us anyway) They complained when we first moved in about noise because the house was being rewired. Tried telling her of work in advance and stopped and work by 7 if any. She still complained, they complain about anything! I just want to move now as I feel I’ll never enjoy my home waiting for them to retaliate over something petty. They haven’t been the quietest in the past but how do they expect people to not ever make a noise???

dread going in garden as she’ll stick her head over fence and complain

sounds like my previous neighbours! we weren't allowed to be in our garden as our conversation or use of the clothes line disturbed their peace

Sing along. Get the kids kazoos to accompany.
Or just send them a note. Work on X is happening. It will start at y and end before z. We hope it will take this many weeks, because we're not keen on disruption either. We hope you will understand, and I'm sure if you ever have to have work done, you will be just as accommodating and we'll be just as understanding. now fuck off you mithering gits

I had an awful neighbour who used to yell at us/aggressively pretend to use the phone and slag us off if we dared go into the garden. Turns out she had done it to the previous occupants and is now doing it to the ones after her. Some people are just horrible people.

Our neighbour is a young man who is renovating his house. There is often noise-we can live with it, and he is a nice guy.
But drilling into a party wall with a masonry drill is exceptionally disturbing-the whole house vibrates. It is the only thing we have ever complained about. (He was very good about it).
Perhaps this one drilling issue can be compromised over, and one hopes the rest will follow happily?

Unfortunately the units that were built are floor to ceiling and have to be fastened to the wall so drilling the four holes couldn’t be avoided.

I dread going in garden as she’ll stick her head over fence and complain. My husband says to ignore but how do you?
Say 'do you ever stop moaning'

My dads new neighbour was in to him in tears to apologise the noise the roofers had been making redoing her roof. Shed already pre warned my dad and other side..yet theyd been in screaming in her face about the noise. Which wasnt even bad at all. We never heard a thing. Some people are just complete arseholes for no reason. I mean look at some responses posters get on mumsnet with folk being overly vile for no reason.

Well she stuck her ugly head out the window again and she’s been told to fuck off
