V happy with my washing liquid but have never found a softener that I like the smell of, so haven't used any for a while now.

But I miss it, I miss soft t shirts.

So what to buy? I don't like sweet, floral smells. Or anything purporting to be 'cashmere' or 'silk'. Blue and yellow Lenor/Comfort I find a bit overpowering. Nothing fruity - on clothes? Bluergh.

I just want my clothes to smell clean and fresh, and be a little bit softer.

I like the cedarwood one from Waitrose. Smells kind of fresh but woody.

Or the white Fairy one, although it smells quite distinctive I can't describe it. It brings to mind baby clothes to me.

Sainsbury’s do a peach one I really like

3dogsandcounting · 07/06/2018 17:26

Just bought for the first time Waitrose Essentials fabric conditioner. It’s amazingly long lasting. I have Amber scent and it’s very nice. Super cheap too.

Blue Lenor all the way!

jamoncrumpets · 07/06/2018 18:03

I don't like blue Lenor! I said that in my OP!

Asda own brand Cotton, or Marine Fresh.

I know I'm fussy, and that IABU for that. Am going to try Fairy this week, so thanks to everybody that recommended it.

Another vote for Fairy white - it’s lovely. Clean and fresh.

The white one from Tesco.

Imo it’s totally unobtrusive.
I loathe having to use any others.

bumbleboots · 07/06/2018 18:09

I use Fairy white. It just smells clean.

This is the kind I mean. I could even carry on using it during first trimester when I could smell every damn thing.

Blue Lenor Grin and cancel the cheque Wink.
I posted today asking for people to indentify a vegetable I got in a hamper- my OP said “I am certain that it’s not a swede”. About 10 people came on and said “It’s a swede!”

On fabric softener I feel your pain, I have spent hours in the aisles sniffing and some of the heavily perfumed ones are grim but my clothes always smell of nothing with the white Comfort that I use because it’s good on sensitive skin. I did once use some Waitrose washing capsules that smelled lovely and subtle - Lotus and watermint.

Not at all helpful but I used to love the original Bold in the blue box. Wish they'd bring it back!
The Aldi 2 in one in the light blue box is nice.

Comfort Pure or Fairy. Only ones I've found that don't set off my eczema

angieloumc · 07/06/2018 18:36

Comfort Pure as a pp said is lovely. A close second for me is Fairy.

Just wanted to pop back and say that, after an extensive supermarket sniffing session, I have found a winner!

It just smells like nice fresh soap. Perfect!

I'm a total fabric conditioner addict ! I think I have tried them all . My two favourites that I always come back to though are lenor yellow and fairy white . Some of the others are a bit too perfumy
