To throttle DS?

Both my kids are stupidly accident prone. DD (20) and DS (25) have spent more time in A&E than I care to think about.
Mum passed away last year and left me some money, so DH and I decided to take the kids and go to California for one last family holiday before they each move out.

Knowing how accident prone DS can be I put a ban on any physical activity 6 weeks ago (after yet another A&E visit for a suspected broken ankle).
For 6 weeks he's avoided the weekly football game with the lads, no rugby, no skateboarding. All perfect. We fly early Tuesday morning.

He's disclocated his sodding thumb IN HIS SLEEP!!!!!

He's now in a cast up to his elbow and awaiting tomorrow's fracture clinic appointment when they decide what to do with him as they don't think the joint is fully in.

IN HIS BLOODY SLEEP.

I give up. Can I throttle him?

:o OMG! Yes, throttle him! But then make him a sandwich and give him some painkillers.

BTW you can bulk buy bubble wrap on Amazon. I hope you have fabulous travel insurance for your DS.

What a wally! I imagine my boy being like this.... sigh

I threatened bubble wrap after ankle incident, but honestly thought he couldn't get into any trouble if he wasn't actively seeking it.

We do have travel insurance so not massively concerned. We're hoping they can splint it rather than leave the cast on or at least put a cast on he can fly in. He's more hacked off that he can't use the pool and might not be able to go on the water rides at Disney.

I might chain the other to the bed until Tuesday morning. Thats not cruel is it? 😂
