Cruelty by Nuns

AIBU to wonder when and if all the perpetrators of child abuse and cruelty in the Catholic Church will be prosecuted and sentenced. I have just read of a nun who has been denying her crime since 2000 finally admitting her guilt. Another 400 allegations have been made. What are they waiting for. The Order is St Alphonse

When I was in my twenties I took a little girl out every week from Nazareth house. I have heard of sister Alphonso but can’t remember her. I know cruelty went on because my DH had a friend who was sent there as a young boy although he didn’t want to talk about it although he told us some of the beatings he got. I can honestly say in the two years I took her out I never saw any cruelty from the Nun I was involved with and I would drop in at odd times. She was always surrounded by children and I remember her brushing and curling the girls hair. They were the lucky ones.

I do think the sentence was shocking.
