I've lost my house keys, I've searched high and low. I've been looking for at least 2 hours. Even in the wheelie bins. Realistically there is nowhere else for me to look now. I called the council and apparently it is £94 for a locksmith. Aibu in thinking that is ridiculous? How do they justify that. I simply can't afford that amount. I know I should have had a spare (I did silly me gave it to my nephew when he stayed here and he never gave it back, now doesn't know where it is.)

Apologies if this has been mentioned, but I lose my keys all the time.

They are usually either:

Still in the lock on the outside of the door.

On the windowsill in the toilet

Behind the kettle.

Ds3 "posted" mine through the letterbox from the inside, but just through the brush bit not the metal flap
I found them by going into the hallway and channelling Shock a 3 yr old and seeing what looked interesting...and lo and behold the first place I looked was the brushy bit!

I lost my baby on the 8th December. They would be due 17th July. I want to try now but when I got upset once about it, I said I wouldn't try till their due date. Would I be disgusting to start trying now?

My son lost his to the student accommodation he was in, had to send him a small fortune to get new ones. Key fob to outside door the keys for his area and room. Found them at the end of the year when cleaning out. In the washing up bowl, that was in the oven that never got used.
Safe to say alcohol was probably involved in the loosing of them.

My DS had put them in my boots.

Checked the pockets of the jacket you wore yesterday? Pockets of the clothes you wore yesterday?

You have my sympathies. Do hope you find it xxx
