Some filthy people around?! Need a MN vote against me and DH. Who is BU?

Second time in 2 days my pram wheels were covered in dog shit.

We went for a walk today. Bit of geocaching. Walking down a PUBLIC foot path. And next thing you know, dog shit straight in my wheel.

It's a 3in1 pram so seat base sits up, making it difficult to see the front wheels. But on a public foot path?!

It wasn't dry either. It was fucking fresh. Hadn't been there long. And it looked as if it come from big foot or something.
It went all the way up my frame. And all under the basket underneath. It was massive.

AIBU? To think you pick your manky dogs shit up. Or just leave it there?!?!

DH thinks I am overreacting.

You're not overreacting! It's disgusting.

Neverender · 04/06/2018 18:20

YANBU at all - it's absolutely revolting. Maybe buy a tin of neon spray paint and spray every one you find? Someone here does that and a. It puts people off doing it, and b. Everyone can see where it is.

FabulouslyFab · 04/06/2018 18:22

Re Neon spray - someone tried that in our town. It didn’t deter anyone - just made kids very curious!

Meralia · 04/06/2018 18:23

That’s hideous! Someone had let their dog shit right on my front door step once, I didn’t see it, trod right in it and walked it through the house!

I just don’t get why people would think it is acceptable to leave it, it absolutely stinks too! Nasty!

I’d be raging as well. My 1 year old DS sometimes like to try and bite his pushchair wheel (not when he’s seated in it lol). Gross! X

SendYouUpinFlames · 04/06/2018 18:28

Glad it's not just me. It's so disgusting. Second time in 2 days though. What a complete joke. I wouldn't be arsed if it was an old stroller. But it's only I month, and was bloody expensive.

We were about 3 1/2 mile from home, tried to get it off as best as I could but the wheels have weird crack shapes in them and it's all bloody stuck in there. Ended up spreading it more than anything on the basket.

Had kettle on it. No luck. Looks like it's dried in my wheels. Gross!!

I am NOT picking that out.

We had loads of people leaving it outside our house on our walkway, we've put up signs saying dog foulers will be fined £1000. No one's done it since.

That is truly awful thing to do. Mauve your DH is just used to it? Did he grow up in a rough area or something?

CombineBananaFister · 04/06/2018 18:42

YANBU - I hate it, especially if you're out and about and not near home so a nightmare to get off. Every knows that you are responsible for you're dogs shit, my friend has 2 dogs and gets even more angry about it than me as she saves it gives dog owners a bad name.
Don't think it matters whether the DH grew up in a 'rough' area or 'posh' area, all dogs poo and there are irresponsible owners in both. Tbh, an old neighbour of mine who was very wealthy in a nice area was the worse for it, like it was beneath her to do it.

CombineBananaFister · 04/06/2018 18:44

She doesn't save it [grins] although that would be interesting! She says it Blush

GreenMeerkat · 04/06/2018 18:51

YANBU. It's vile. Maybe your DH should clean the pram if he thinks you're overreacting. Bet he will change his tune then

SendYouUpinFlames · 04/06/2018 20:42

We've managed to get it out of the wheels. DH did it. Shortly followed by a quick rant about how 'discusting it is, and how people should clean up their own vile mess'

Hmm yes, What a suprise.

It has truly knackered my basket up. It had the make of the model sewn in on the front with like a gel writing. That's come off in the washer and looks awful. So disappointed Sad

As for where we use to live.

DH family were never 'well off and lived in a bad estate when he was younger. I won't say poor. But not well off. His -cunt- father was a drug dealer. And it was a bad place to live. Luckily that arsehole is a long way away and his mum has married a -well off niceish- fella when he was early teens. So has been brought up well since then. They have a dog, when he lived with them he would walk her and pick the poo up. That's why I was a bit Confused by his reaction.

We've had very different lives. I've always lived with my grandparents by the country. I was brought up well. Taught manners and to pick my dogs shit up.
