Should I go to the dog carnival or stay in and clean?

The local dog reduce runs an annual just for fun dog carnival day in the village park. Fun ring judging (waggiest tail etc) stalls, tombola, agility courses for the dogs etc. Me and DP go every year as it is a nice day our for our two dogs and we get to see all the other dogs. Plus there's usually some quite unique breeds that you don't get to see everyday (there's always a couple of Pharoe(?) Hounds that I love!)

However, I thought it was next month and only just realised today this it is on this afternoon. DP has already agreed to go and play golf with his friends so can't manage.

Now... should I just go myself? Honestly, I don't know of I can manage both of my two dogs myself. One is completely fine but the other one can be nervous and barky for a small while in these situations so it takes one if us to help calm him down until he enjoys himself whilst the other holds the other dog. If I wanted to buy something from a stall or have an ice cream or a burger... Well that woukd be impossible with the two leads. Plus I wouldn't have anybody to play "guess the breed" with or sit all day and say hey look at that dog, aww look at the puppy etc

However, the alternative is to stay and clean the house, do the washing etc. Which I am slightly miffed that he will be out enjoying the sunshine with his mates and I will be Cinderella without the ball at the end.

What would you you?

Well done OP, sounds great. What were the rosettes for? Love hearing all the fun classes at these shows.

1st place - First time (for dogs who have never won anything at a competition before - this was the less confident dog who did the best walk round the ring ever! bias)

2nd place - best child handler (my little sister took the small one around
