To not find George Clooney attractive

I honestly don’t get the fuss about him!
Just looks like someone’s ordinary grandad to me, I’m expecting a lot of strong disagreementsGrin

Finding him attractive to look at, yes he is OK. Finding him attractive sexually, no.

I often see handsome men when I am out, and enjoy looking, but I wouldn't want to touch. Then there are the ones I look at and would like to touch, a lot. Nothing to do with looks in particular though.

TumbleTussocks · 04/06/2018 08:08

I've been longing to start a thread on Amal Clooney ....

burblish · 04/06/2018 09:02

I’ve never found him even remotely attractive - not even in his ER days. I’ve never met anyone in RL who agrees though, so thanks for this thread! Grin

SkinniesAreOver · 04/06/2018 09:11

@burblish, one woman said to me that she admitted he wasn't that attractive but said it was his voice and then all the others who
d thoguht he was gorgeous 30 seconds before agreed and said actually yeh it's his voice. So he should have been a radio star

SkinniesAreOver · 04/06/2018 09:12

Michael Fassbender can make himself look like anybody. He is the actor version of rory bremner. No mattr who he is playing, he is the image of them.

StarbucksSmarterSister · 04/06/2018 09:14

He was far less attractive in ER than he was in his 40s. I like him, he's funny and self deprecating when interviewed.

But no, he's not Richard Armitage (I cried at the end of North and South, he was so romantic).

Mimomae · 04/06/2018 09:20

it's his teeth. He looks like a grinning rabbit.

SirVixofVixHall · 04/06/2018 09:22

“looks as though he should be working the Waltzer” has to be the best British insult ever.

burblish · 04/06/2018 10:59

@SkinniesAreOver

Am cackling at the thought of an agent saying to George Clooney, “You have a face - I mean, a voice - for radio!” Grin

SkinniesAreOver · 04/06/2018 11:02

HE was one lucky man to get this far !

SkinniesAreOver · 04/06/2018 11:11

........... and, perhaps it's because I've dated men with Mammies who think their son is Jesus, I found I developed dislike of GC's pomposity which I based on his Mammy's comments. His mother publicly said that none of his girlfriends before Amal had been worthy of him! ha ha, ha he is an actor. He's not an academic. He's not some revolutionary, or philantropist, or genius.
He's basically Ronald Reagan wannabe and his mother was saying that (amongst others) Celine Beltrane who has a law degree wasn't worthy of her son.

I would have cringed if my mother said that! I dated a man once who had delusions of grandiose importance and when I broke it off with him his mother stroked his paw and told him it was because I had felt like a bit of an also-ran next to him. So that comment was triggering for me. :-p Triggered rage!

yoyo1234 · 04/06/2018 11:48

He has always given me the eeugh feeling. DH finds it funny, I cower when I see him. I do not find anything attractive about him. Chris's Pratt, Chris Evans, Hugh Jackman, Idris..... On the other hand 😉.

Mammyloveswine · 04/06/2018 11:52

Oooh Colin Farrell... yum! The fact he's Irish just makes him better!

I've a crush on Clint eastwood (Blush) that i can't explain... I also fancy the new captain birdseye... what a silver fox he is!

David Beckham is stunning these days! But i think he's a bastard and cheats on posh (who I really like!).

Grammy78 · 04/06/2018 12:52

Don't see the appeal of GC either, never have.

JD's film in which he plays a terminally ill man is in post production so I doubt it's because of that.

Christian Slater has still got it. Who knew back in the 90's that out of him, JD, BP and KR that CS would grow up to be the hottest?

RayRayBidet · 04/06/2018 14:13

YANBU.
I never understood GC or BP.
Also not remotely David Beckham.
Now Rufus Sewell on the other hand.....
*wanders into a dream world dribbling slightly

IcedPurple · 04/06/2018 16:23

*Rayray,

Rufus Sewell.....mmm..........yum!

Him as "Tom Builder" .... good lord!

RayRayBidet · 05/06/2018 13:25

IcedPurple
And as King Charles II, ding dong!

puppywithattitude · 05/06/2018 13:32

Never got GC or Brad, Leonardo at al.
I'm a bit odd though, like em a bit quirky and am a bit of a chubby chaser sometimes.

senioritabonita · 05/06/2018 22:05

Dr Doug Ross was damn sexy when he saved that boy who drowned in a storm drain by using a biro to perform a tracheotomy thou....... reminisces......

Rainbunny · 06/06/2018 00:03

I didn't care for GC's charms prior to his marriage but since he married AC I find both of them insufferable and smug.

For some reason I found it really annoying that they turned up to the Royal wedding as well, even the Daily Fail was unable to show that GC has ever even MET Prince Harry or Meghan. I understand inviting celebrities that Harry and/or Meghan actually knew and liked but people you've never met and don't know, just because they're famous cheapened the event to me.

StarbucksSmarterSister · 06/06/2018 20:28

Well if the Fail says they'd never met before, it must be true Grin
