Mine just popped into my head.
it’s a profound reflection on the relationship between our words and perception when interpretations are made by an outside agency

Mine means that BreakfastAtTiffanys was already taken

FuckPants · 01/06/2018 08:42

Mine is what my heavy metal band would be called apparently.

thegreylady · 01/06/2018 08:43

Mine is pretty obvious...I drift in and out of threads, rarely noticed like a ghostly presence...oh and I am of the female gender, have grey hair and quite like fog coloured cardigans.

overnightangel · 01/06/2018 08:43

Ian Hunter album

hockityponktas · 01/06/2018 08:48

Mine is from the episode of bottom where they camp in the park!

Marriedwithchildren5 · 01/06/2018 08:52

Because I swear I'm married to Al Bundy!

BeautyGoesToBenidorm · 01/06/2018 08:57

DS1 has a toy penguin named Beauty. He went to stay with the ILs while DH and I were on honeymoon in Benidorm, and he mistakenly left Beauty at home. Then 4yo DS was inconsolable, and worried that Beauty wasn't going to have a holiday, so I chucked him in my carry-on luggage.

Beauty went to Benidorm and had a lovely holiday, we took photos of him in various places and DS1 was thrilled for him Grin

My favourite childhood book

fussychica · 01/06/2018 09:02

I'm a female who used to live in Spain and I'm told I'm quite fussy.

BornInALighthouse · 01/06/2018 09:02

Mine is a line from a song, I wasn't born in a lighthouse. It also has a line "the gulls gave me my singing voice", which is true and not in a good way Grin

CharDeeMacDennis · 01/06/2018 09:03

It's the game of games (from Always Sunny in Philadelphia, which I love and was watching when I last name changed)

RadioDorothy · 01/06/2018 09:03

I often use song titles which vaguely relate to a person - my last one was an old Stereophonics song.

But my current one is a line from Men Behaving Badly. I can't remember exactly what the whole thing was, but I think Dorothy finishes with Gary because she's seeing a DJ or something. Gary says, "Well I've never heard of him, what channel is he on?"
She says sarcastically, "Radio Dorothy."

Haha, still makes me larf. Apparently I look just like her (Caroline Quentin circa 2001) and I'm equally snarky.

SasBel · 01/06/2018 09:04

It’s my actual name..... Grin

sexnotgender · 01/06/2018 09:04

It means biological sex is the important bit, gender is a damaging social construct.

MustBeThursday · 01/06/2018 09:04

Mine is a reference to a line in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy which is an old favourite of mine. I'd re-read it recently when I was coming up with the name.

BitOutOfPractice · 01/06/2018 09:10

I was newly single and was out on the dating scene again, feeling a bit out of practice. Usually shorted to BOOP now.

In fact a BOOP is now a Thing on the Archers threads: it describes praise for a good moment in an episode or a good episode.

Jojoanna · 01/06/2018 09:11

I wanted Jojo after a character but it was taken so,,,

annandale · 01/06/2018 09:23

I like the steely Dan song 'my old school'

'California can tumble into the sea
That's the day I'll go back to Annandale'

I keep it because I like the way people assume i'm in a couple called Anna and Dale. Thesee people have a real life in my head now.

BillyAndTheSillies · 01/06/2018 09:30

The flea band from Hey Duggee

Jolonglegs · 01/06/2018 09:32

My dd used to call me mummy long legs when she was young because I have long legs.

GBroGal · 01/06/2018 09:44

Trying to retain a sense of identity even though I'm anonymous here - I'm a shy Gal from a town that I abbreviate to G'Bro.

AliceLutherNeeMorgan · 01/06/2018 09:48

She’s my favourite TV character, on whom I model my approach to life (better mind your backs, Mum and Dad...)

Although I’m not sure whether she ever did/will/would marry John Luther. I like to think so

UpstartCrow · 01/06/2018 09:50

AliceLutherNeeMorgan Maybe don't watch the last series...

HungerOfThePine · 01/06/2018 09:53

Reference to an alt-j song, hunger of the pine is heartbreak. Everyone has missed, loved someone and feels pain, there's a particular verse, the marching band outside is beating the same old song.
