To want a partner

I know that there’s a view that we should be happy alone and fill time with hobbies and friendships and interests but to be honest I’m finding it tough.

I do have all the above but pursuing them is expensive and not as time consuming as people might think. Weekends in particular can be challenging.

So - AIBU?

Of course it's not U to want a partner, but you do have to be active in finding one. I expect people will be along soon to give you better ideas than I could, but I would say, try OLD for a start and be prepared to take it all as a bit of a laugh at first.

I can’t think of any other way to meet someone. Really not sure about OD, though.

It's normal to want a partner. I've been single for 3 years and I hate it but realistically i can't meet anyone.

Me too! I've OLD and still nada nearly 10 years later. I'm mid 30's, good career, own house, reasonably attractive....

To the world I'm confident and happy on my own, but it's all lies!
