To think we shouldn't have two bank holidays in May

It seems a waste, it would be better to move one of them to October or something and space them out a bit more. We already have two in Easter too so they're so clustered together.

I agree with you. I completely fucking hate it. But I'm self employed in a job I can't do on a Bh, so twice this month I have to fit five day's work into four days, and it's a nightmare. The days off are not worth it.

Speak for yourself. We've had horrendous storms and flooding here. Main A-roads into the City closed. All trains stopped. People's houses flooded. People being rescued from cars. One man died. NOt the kind of weather I'd say was 'lucky'.

Why not just have another one in October without losing one in May?

you have 2 bank holidays in May? So none in June?

I'd sign the petition for an extra one. Only 1 country that has less public holidays than us. I'd like as many as Spain - I'd even settle for as many as France.

I don't want an extra one as that us another day of annual leave which I cant choose.
