Sweet or savoury?

Would you go for sweet things like chocolate and ice cream, or savoury things like crisps and cheese if you were wanting to indulge?

Savoury always.

My favourite naughty snack is spring rolls - the type you get in the party food section of the supermarket. YUM.

CheeseGirl4 · 28/05/2018 14:53

Savoury. As you can see from my user name I'm especially keen on cheese! I do crave sweet things occasionally though.

FatherMacKenzie · 28/05/2018 14:54

Both Blush

IHaveBrilloHair · 28/05/2018 14:54

Savoury, always

SinglePringle · 28/05/2018 14:55

Savoury. Always. I’d be totally happy without chocolate, sweets or cake for the rest of my days. Never eat them really and definitely not cake.

But butter, bread, cheese, eggs, vegetables and meat? Gimme!!

Thisimmortalcurl · 28/05/2018 14:55

Savoury unless I’m due my period then chocolate.

userabcname · 28/05/2018 14:56

Sweet!!! I have a very sweet tooth. DH would go savoury though. Which is good as we don't have to share our treats with each other!

Frosty66612 · 28/05/2018 14:57

@katniss it’s the other way round for my OH and I - he’d always go sweet and he’s a total chocoholic and ice cream addict. I’d prefer some nice crisps and dips

ilovesooty · 28/05/2018 14:57

Sweet. I don't like crisps anyway.

CaptainHammer · 28/05/2018 14:58

Sweet. DH is all about the savoury.

HeyDolly · 28/05/2018 15:00

Both Grin but if I’m forced to pick - savoury.

HasAnyoneGotAProblemWithThat · 28/05/2018 15:00

Savoury first with a couple of glasses of wine.

Sweet afterwards with a cup or 2 of tea.

So basically both Blush

Angie169 · 28/05/2018 15:01

savoury,
cheese , crackers , pringles , cheddar, apples with cheese , Stilton , mini cheddars, phily , grapes ,.

Did I mention cheese ? Grin

HasAnyoneGotAProblemWithThat · 28/05/2018 15:01

If I had to choose though it would always be savoury.

I will always have a starter but not always a desert as I’d rather starter...

DramaAlpaca · 28/05/2018 15:02

Savoury, every time. DH is the opposite.

LaurieMarlow · 28/05/2018 15:05

Depends on my mood, but I'm much better at knowing my limits with sweet. I could eat crisps forever.

UpstartCrow · 28/05/2018 15:07

I used to have a sweet tooth but I've been doing the low carb diet and now I prefer savoury things. Over the last few weeks I've been offered birthday cake, and haven't been able to finish it.

Frosty66612 · 28/05/2018 17:16

@laurie I’m the same. Put a box of chocolates in front of me and I can have a couple and then stop. Put a big bag of Kettle chips in front of me and i’ll demolish the bag in about ten mins flat.

Didn't know they were mutually exclusive :)

confusedandemployed · 28/05/2018 17:20

Savoury. The saltier the better.

Taffeta · 28/05/2018 17:20

Savoury - salty creamy things are my weakness

Proper yellowy farmhouse salted butter
A creamy blue cheese eg Montagnolo - with celery, apple etc
All the smoked fish - especially a good homemade smoked mackerel pate
Creamy cold fish eg lobster roll, crab brioche, prawn cocktail
Salty crisps with creamy dips eg taramasalata etc

Taffeta · 28/05/2018 17:21

There’s definitely a rude joke in there, sorry Blush

expatinscotland · 28/05/2018 17:27

Savoury. I don't care for sweets much at all.

Feodora · 28/05/2018 17:31

I have a ridiculous sweet tooth, bane of my life. Sugar is such empty calories, doesn’t fill you up in anyway.

AviatorShades · 28/05/2018 17:37

Savoury always.

Currently buying 2 packs of 200g Gujarati Mix for 1.00, plus 1x120g pack of chilli bruschetta every thursday when i'm in Morrisons.

Sees me through the week, no shares.Wink
