To be so worried

I've just left my husband in hospital overnight. He's been diagnosed with suspected pancreatitis after an emergency admission this morning and scans and bloods tests this afternoon. Anyone have experience of the treatment/recovery/change in lifestyle required after a diagnosis of this. Sad

How is your husband today, worriedwife?

worriedwife82 · 28/05/2018 21:43

Thanks for asking. That made me smile Smile
He is still NBM with fluids being pumped in. Hoping to see consultant tomorrow morning to find out how long he is likely to be in. Hoping for some good news then 😘

Fingers crossed for positive news from the consultant tomorrow. I hope your husband isn't in too much pain now.

Hi I had acute pancreatitis 3 months ago, I was in hospital 3 nights but was off work for 6 weeks recovering. I had emergency gallbladder surgery March 2017 after feeling unwell for a few months and was off work for 10 weeks then but got pancreatitis as a complication this year. I'm doing well now - I'm trying to be careful with my diet and don't drink very much at all but feel so much better!

Glad you are on the mend. 3 nights in hospital sounds good - that's the shortest of all the posts. Here's hoping he gets home Wednesday or Thursday. Even if he has some recovering at home to do after that. Moving house (and country) in 8 weeks so could do with him back to full strength soon x
