I'm 39+4 and really believed and felt like baby would be here by now. I'm so fed up and achy my pelvic pain is awful and really ramps up in bed at night I have cried today at the thought of going to bed. This is dc2 and 1st delivery was a forceps in theatre delivery so I feel worried about labour too.
I just haven't had so much as a twinge or Braxton hic or whatever they're called i feel like it's never going to happen.
Aibu to ask if you went into labour without any pre warning signs? How did it happen and when?

I went to my obstetrician appointment at 38+6 with no signs whatsoever of impending labour. Had sky high bp and was also swelling up like a balloon though, and she was worried I was developing pre-eclampsia and decided baby needed to come out. She asked to examine me to see if cervix was remotely soft or open.

Turns out I was 5cm dilated! Turns out the mild stomach cramps is thought were trapped wind were actually contractions. Dc1 was born 4 hours later.

Waters went as soon as I woke up with dc3. No contractions until then, although I remember waking in the night with bum pain, and thinking how bad my piles must be.

With dc1 my waters just went. Zero signs prior.

Dc1 was a couple of weeks early. No signs until my first contraction stopped me in my tracks at 7pm. Gave birth at 2pm the next day.
Dc2 was almost 2 weeks late. I woke up at 11pm with a contraction and gave birth at 6am.

No signs at all (other than high blood pressure the day before I suppose). Waters suddenly broke at 38 weeks. It took another 40 hours though before my baby actually made an arrival.

No signs here, no mucus plug, no more Brixton hicks than usual, I just woke up at 4am (at 40+1) and it was happening, when everyone else got up at 7 they didn’t believe I was in labour as there had been no indication it was imminent. I only went to hospital at 7pm, despite midwives saying I couldn’t be very far along if I was still talking, I knew it was time. I was 8cm dilated when we got in and my waters broke on the bed about two hours before dd was born at 11.
