to ask if you have tried washable menstrual pads?

So reusable nappies are a thing now, pretty well accepted, gaining popularity.

Today I've seen an advert for reusable/washable menstrual pads.

I like the idea of reducing my waste footprint, reusing is a good thing. But has anyone actually used them? If so, how did they get on with them? Good or bad brands? Interested to know others experiences, considering giving them a try.

I use cheeky wipes ones and find them comfortable. I have also recently converted to washable toilet paper(wipes!) which I only use post wee or for final clean post poo! It leaves you feeling so lovely and clean each time you go to the toilet. I suppose it might leave some feeling a bit damp but because I wear a washable panty liner daily I don't feel any dampness after using a wet cloth wipe. I guess it is like using a flannel every time you have a wee and then you put them all in a plastic tub with water and tea tree oil and chuck them all in the machine when you remember. I usually do a quick rinse in the tub first. just need to persuade the kids to embrace it now...they are not impressed!!!

What's the best? I don't want to make expensive mistakes. I use a mooncup but would love to try this at night. Extremely heavy flow though.

I use the Cheeky Wipes ones. They stay put well with large snug/ slightly stretchy pants. I've had no temptation to return to disposable pads since and as my post-baby periods seem quite predictable with warning symptoms, I've only been unprepared once since getting them.

They work well as back-up protection when running. I save the tena for races only when the sprint finish ensures good value Wink

I'm going to go for it and get some. Excited. About reusable pads. Very sad. Lol.

KurriKurri if you visit Kurri, make you come in February. It's when the annual mullet festival is held.
Men, women and children from all over Australia flock to Kurri to show off and compare their mullet hairstyles.
You'll need your incontinence pads for sure, there are some absolute horrors. Grin
