to think that full briefs should cover your bum cheeks

and not stop 2" above the crease therefore riding up when you move?

And if anyone knows of any (cotton ones) that don't do this please let me know.

I have here a heap of Tesco, M&S and Asda ones and so far the only ones that are not too bad are the out of stock ones from last winter.

My JL briefs go above my belly button! Highest cut knickers ever.

ToadOfSadness · 24/05/2018 18:16

Thanks everyone, will try some more, still not sure about sizing and end up with 2 packs of each type. Why did it get so complicated?

Will try JL and Mardy Bum (Lardy Bum in my case I think).

OP I did laugh at the idea of bottoms having "special feaures"

Have you tried Primark?

MrsPussinBoots · 24/05/2018 18:29

I only buy from Peacocks, they're brilliant.

bilbodog · 24/05/2018 18:30

You must have bought sloggi hipsters or something gecause their maxi briefs are just that - not small at all. They do cotton or micro fibre. I never buy anything else now - you can even buy them on amazon.

ToadOfSadness · 24/05/2018 18:35

Bigger pants?

Full briefs are bigger pants, shame they don't have matching arse cover.

Who knows what features a bum might have Grin? Mine just has a bit of cellulite, nothing interesting at all, oh wait - there is a mole...

Oh I wish I was near a Primark, so many times I have seen something I like and not been able to get it.

No, I bought Sloggi Basic+ Maxi. I even queried it with the seller as they looked so tiny, checked they were in the right packet, label was correct, apparently they stretch but I didn't fancy the fight in case they caused me damage. I am still trying to pluck up the courage. Of course they might be perfect but they stare back at me and say 'You are joking aren't you?'

Peacocks, not thought of there.

I have wonderful granny pants from Sainsbury’s. There’s only a small gap between the top of my pants and the bottom of my bra. I got them for comfort after my c section but 5 years later I’m still in love with them. They completely cover my fulsome arse and when I hoik them right up it’s like tucking myself into my own little portable bed.

ToadOfSadness · 24/05/2018 18:55

Bees Grin they sound so comfy.

Branleuse · 24/05/2018 19:05

Sloggi basics ARE tiny. I sized up with them and theyre still too small. I also didnt rate the quality

However if you want pure bliss comfy big pants, then try sloggi double comfort shorts. Expensive, but oh so comfortable and great coverage. I like them for under dresses

George do three packs of plain cotton full pants, they provide good coverage ime.

thefirstmrsdewinter · 24/05/2018 19:49

I have a little flab below my belly button and nothing is worse than the knicker elastic sitting under it making a little podge sling. I want something that covers it right up (and same for cheeks).

Possibly already suggested by pp but don't be afraid to size up. I'm about a size 14 and I have a drawerful of size 18 cotton M&S pants. They are a little bit too huge on me now (I was possibly a 16 when I bought them) but I get full arse coverage and they are as comfy as a very comfy thing. Can't improve on what BeesAndMist said about tucking yourself in. Smile

To be fair if you're used to sporty little thongs and such it's bit horrifying when you hold them up and behold the acreage. They're the size of a pillowcase.

SalveGrumio · 24/05/2018 19:53

Sainsbury's full briefs in a size up. Brilliant. Dh says he's embarrassed to hang them on the line ;)

ToadOfSadness · 24/05/2018 20:30

I have some George ones which are OK, however I don't rate the patterns on the current ones so am waiting for the next designs by which time they will probably have changed the cut. Hence looking for something without little ditsy flowers or pink or white elastic on dark knickers.

I can't wear shorts, I am the wrong shape, I think Sloggi is off my list now.

I used to wear pretty matching sets which were not from any of the aforementioned shops but those days have gone, then high leg sets, then in desperation M&S midi but they roll down under some of my trousers and leggings as well as creeping up at the back so moved on to big pants.

I find that sizing up sometimes means that they have a kind of high leg shape.

Tu at sainsburys, order online & free click & collect. I bought some when pregnant in case of c section (which I ended up having) my sons nearly 2 and I'm still wearing them and adding to the collection occasionally. Oh and it's 25% off til Monday x

thefirstmrsdewinter · 24/05/2018 21:41

OP I know what you mean re leg holes if you size up - I had that problem with Thinx - but I haven't found this with the M&S cotton full brief. I sort of arrange everything once I've put my trousers on (tuck it all where it should be) and it stays there all day. And not that I'd want anyone to see them but they do make me feel secure wearing a skirt, like there's more between me and the world than a wisp of lingerie.

BeesAndMist · 24/05/2018 21:54

shelby you’re my pants twin.

eggsandchips · 25/05/2018 01:00

I like the Australian Brand Bonds. They have them in Debenhams and are comfy. But might not be good for total coverage depending on what stock they have in.

Shelby1981 · 25/05/2018 06:56

@BeesAndMist yay! Pants twin Grin

ArchchancellorsHat · 25/05/2018 07:15

I have sainsbury's ones that cover my arse and feel like cotton - nice cotton, even. Better than the last M&S ones I had, I'm not bothering with them again.

Akire · 25/05/2018 09:05

Thanks for tip off about Tu just ordered lots of pants! Half price of Marks with 25% off at moment and look nearly idenical to ones I wanted in Marks.
