Is this normal for teenage behaviour?

Left teens alone whilst I went to work.

Came home to find DS(19) covered in shaving foam where DD(17) had ambushed him in the bathroom and DD stuck in the wash basket where DS had placed her and stuck the lid down after her ambush. Both of them giggling like toddlers until they realised I was home and DS then tries frantically to un wedge the wash basket to let her out. It's now broken and the bathroom is covered in shaving foam.

It's hard to believe that DS hits his 20s in a few months.

FloweringSynchronicity · 23/05/2018 11:50

Smile How big is your wash basket or is your DD very petite?

billybagpuss · 23/05/2018 11:52

Thats fab, just lie back (after you've order a new wash basket) and be grateful that you have happy kids who aren't afraid to be silly :)

Ohyesiam · 23/05/2018 11:53

They sound lovely.sadly I don’t think it s normal, because most teens have a screen attached and can barely move.

Pat yourself on the back they have a great relationship!!
My ds's 16+14 had some bonding time yesterday playing football in my bloody front room while I was at work Angry!!

It's a big wash basket and she's very skinny and flexible. I'm suspicious that she got in voluntarily with the idea of it being pushed down the stairs like a slide and he trapped her in it

Sorry your kids made me giggle.

They clearly get on well to play silly games with each other. Be proud they do.

I hope you got them to clean up and pay for the laundry basket. Other than that leave them to it.

Aww that sounds like something me and my brother might have done.

Perfectly normal...in fact better than normal...they sound awesome!

Peanutbuttercups21 · 23/05/2018 12:01

As long as they clean up

Lovely when siblings get along

The tales DH and his brother tell! They'll still laugh about this when they are oldGrin

Normal behaviour. Teenagers are big toddlersGrin

Me and my best mate at the age of 16 had a water fight in her house 😁 we soaked the passage so much that the cat litter tray was floating. Thankfully it was a concrete floor and waiting for carpet to be put down. We used every towel in the house to dry up. Her mum came in asking why all the towels had been used...we said we were washing them all for her since most had been sat in draws for a long time. I'm sure she knew but never said a word to us

I’m 35, and my stepbrother is 36. This pretty much still sounds like us.... Blush
