not to let DD go to the theatre on her own?

DD will be 15 in September. For a treat DH has suggested he takes her down to London (we live in Scotland) and take her to see Hamilton. She's properly obsessed with it. She's quite shy and looks older than 15. DH has suggested she goes on her own to see the musical, as its £200 a ticket, and he's not particularly interested! I'm not comfortable with the idea of her going to the theatre on her own, imagining all sorts of things that could happen. Views?

If she's dropped off and picked up at the door I don't see what can happen to her inside her the theatre? And there are staff to deal with any issues.

Obviously it has already been established she can't go on her own due to the regulations. But I think you are being quite neurotic in worrying about a 15 year old being somewhere with loads of security staff on her own. If it wasn't for the age thing I would have suggested it would be a better present to pay for her and a friend to go if dad is not bothered.

They release new tickets every few months, I heard about it and got tickets for about £37.50 each, admittedly not for a specific date I had in mind though.

Keep checking ticketmaster for date you want. Tickets get returned quite a lot so more affordable ones will pop up from time to time.
