AIBU to think hopi candling won't help a bit with my ear crackling/tinnitus?

I've got ear crackling/some tinnitus. I've had my ears syringed recently and it hasn't really helped. I've got a friend who is going on at me to try Hopi Candling therapy but I'm really resistant.

Anyone tried it and it helped?

That thread is funny! According to the nurse, the syringing has sorted whatever wax was in there...does this mean she's right or that there might be wax that can't be seen by a nurse?

yanbu
hopi candling is absolute bollocks.

go see an ear clear clinic, they will have a good look, suction out any gunk and can refer to specialist if that's needed.

I had a tinnitus many years ago, was referred to an ent and treated with clopidogrel (blood thinner)

It's proved to be utter bollocks, and the Hopis have asked for people to stop naming ridiculous candle "treatments" after them.

Diet can help tinnitus - especially cutting out salt and alcohol and for a small minority, being gluten free.

I have a top diet - it can't be that. I don't really drink, I never have salt and i rarely do gluten

I had it done once in a moment of madness while in China. It was one of the funniest things I've ever done, and my colleague and I couldn't stop laughing at each other, but it did absolutely nothing for my blocked ear!
