I’m not much of a drinker but have my best friend’s hen night this weekend and then also a christening the next day where I’m being named Godparent.

I can see what’s going to happen.

Aside from water between drinks what can I do to mitigate the damage???

And yes, of course I could choose not to drink etc but I’m being honest with myself and accepting my weaknesses.

Help?

I can also recommend a Bloody Mary. Best cure is a saline drip apparently (which is where I thought Onthewrongsideof30 was going.

@DontCallMeCharlotte - indeed ! But only wise if you know/are a medic. Didn't think the IV drip and a Valium would go down very well on mn - but it is the best cure! (I know some at uni who knocked over their iv stand and after loosing about a pint of blood over night felt a damn sight worse than a run of the mill hangover)

I’ve tried everything. No food or drink EVER works for me be it bacon/crisps/coke etc. Water and paracetamol before bed help. Hair of the dog is definitely my cure!
