I just cry until dp does it for me

FrannyandZooey · 17/05/2007 14:03

oh no god NO not at all

just it is hard, just do the action yourself and imagine you have hair past your shoulders

not easy

Franny I KNOW trsut me

My DD gets nits all the time, every time they are in school, I can guarantee she'll get them grr

My hair is in the middl eof my back nad I manage (just!) I don't have Mr Tickle arms either

MamaG · 17/05/2007 14:05

I think I'll rephrase that

the length of my hair ends in teh middle of my back

FrannyandZooey · 17/05/2007 14:07

oh well DON'T tell dp he thinks it is physical impossibility to nit comb one's own hair if a laydee

actually it is much better when he does it, as I tend to get a little shall we say upset, and end up making my head bleed by frantic and frenzied combing

MamaG · 17/05/2007 14:08

I quite enjoy doing mine

in a weird ponce way

WelshMum23 · 17/05/2007 14:31

grr i hate them nits

i have to check my 6yr olds head regularly as their always seems to be someone in his class with them (i personally think its the same child)

i get my dp to do mine he dont like it but i sulk until he does sometimes i ask him to do it just because i love my hair being played with and thats the only time he'll touch my head

WelshMum23 · 17/05/2007 14:32

we've now started shaving our sons hair down to a number 4 so there's less chance of him catching them

MamaG · 17/05/2007 16:24

lol I love it too welshy, I'm always saying to DH " play with my hair "

WelshMum23 · 17/05/2007 16:37

lol i always ask him to but mainly i get a grunt and a "do i have to??" then i say "yes you do dear if you ever want nookie again" haha works half the time

WelshMum23 · 17/05/2007 16:38

Soooooooo sandyballs - did you ask her??

FunMumm · 17/05/2007 16:39

We check each others hair regularly at work!

We work in a pre-school

twynkle · 17/05/2007 16:43

I am looking around at my colleagues having to bit my lip to stop from snorting with laughter at the thought of one of them asking another to check their hair for nits!!
For entertainment value I want you to ask, but for the sake of your career then PLEASE DON'T!!!!

I'm hedrining the whole family tonight. Apart from DH as his billiard ball head isn't usually that much of a problem.

I'm thinking of developing a biological control for headlice - like encouraging ladybirds to kill aphids.

dmo · 18/05/2007 12:41

wouldnt do it in the work place
i asked my dh but he was useless didint really look
nipped to c pratice nurse at docs and she gave me the all clear

Blu · 18/05/2007 12:45

Just don't complain if your colleague returns the compliment by asking if you can check if she has piles, or vaginal warts.........

WelshMum23 · 18/05/2007 12:47

eewww blu lol
