to think goatee beards never look good

I mean compared to clean shaven or a full on beard. Even Brad Pitt looked worse imo. Or does anyone like them?

I'm not fond of any sort of topiary. I like a neatly trimmed full beard as opposed to any half and half shaving thing.

DH has a van dyck beard. He tried to grow a full beard but nothing really grows on his cheeks.

Goatees make me think of Acker Bilk. My Dad was a fan.

and like a pp I can suddenly not find a man attractive if they shave them off.

It depends on the type though.

Some are too small and over manicured.

Dp for example has a kind of goatee and moustache but it's just his natural beard shape because his cheeks don't really grow.

It very much suits him as it's there but not overdone if that makes sense.

Iv never known him without them, he did once come out the bathroom without the trash because he'd trimmed it wrong and had to get rid of the whole thing. I barely recognised him, it was an odd month!

My older son, who has just been round to see me has one, it suits him he is fairly dark I think they look better on dark haired men. My other son alternates between a beard and then shaving it all off and staying clean shaven for a while. I'm okay with facial hair, if it's fairly clipped, I don't like really hairy beards like Father Christmas or Dick Strawbridge, as the poster above has stated, heaven knows what lurks there
