To wonder if he should be concerned about this bite?

Boyfriend was walking in the park on Tuesdau and realised in the evening he'd been bitten on his calf. He didn't know what bit him and they just looked like normal bites so we didn't pay much attention but now they look like this. The biggest is about the size of a penny. They are a bit raised and not itchy. I want him to call 111 for some advice because they don't look right to me but he won't.

What makes you think they don't look right? Aren't they just insect bites - from a gnat/horsefly or something?

I’ve had bites like that.

The only ones I would be concerned about are tick / bullseye bites or infected bites.

My partner gets bit like this all the time. He uses witch hazel and this normally takes them down. You can get it from chemist. Saying that sometimes they have got infected.... if they become raised and really or have yellow area he has just seen his gp and sometimes these have become infected. Honestly get some witch hazel works wonders

Hi lass, I got a cracker of a bite like that a few weeks ago and it had venom underneath the skin- took a searing hot pin to it to find a clegg head under skin.

Still don't know how I did it but being pregnant I was taking it out lol

Keep an eye on it and nip to chemist for chamomile or after bite if it itches.

Mine went from bite sized to double 2 quid coin size.

' a cleg head...'?

Midge bites or gnats? Or horseflies, but in my experience with those, you see the blighters when they do it. Anthisan cream is the best treatment for insect bites.
