To think HGVs and slow moving vehicles should be banned during rush hour

I'm talking about busy single carriageway A and B roads.

There's nothing more frustrating than being stuck behind a huge lorry going at 30mph on a 60mph single carriageway road (so now way to safely overtake). I think they should be restricted to travelling outside busy times , though it would obviously be hard to enforce. They end up with about 20 cars behind them and it's also dangerous as they don't fit in the lane, so go over the line and give less room to oncoming traffic, especially on a narrowish rural road.

My heart sinks when I know I'm going to be stuck behind one for 10 miles on my way to work.

Grief. You dont own the road. Complain about bad driving if you want, but you don't get to complain that the roads are busy, and therefore slower, at rush hour. I mean, not without sounding like a crazy.

Imagine your boss saying to you "you will have to work late tonight. Thus ridiculous ban on HGV traffic means stock wont arrive till after 7pm and i need you to take delivery."

Yanbu. It's awful round here when the tractors get onto the dual carriageway in rush hour!!

Haulage industry is on its knees due to high fuel cost etc. Drivers can only drive for so many hours with very set driving times and breaks - it wouldn't work. And surely it's better driving slowly than hgvs driving dangerously fast
