It's doing my head in! Especially when the OP comes back and starts name checking everyone with a @username.

There's no bloody need. If people have already posted it'll be on their threads I'm on so if they're interested they'll come back and chec the thread!

Yes the convenience of autocomplete on the tagging plus a problem with the bold function a while ago swapped me over to tagging @BertieBotts Grin

BertieBotts · 09/05/2018 07:58

Aaah I didn't realise that - that makes sense actually! I have never used the app. I can see that would be useful.

I was thinking you'd have to copy and paste and you can do that without the @.

The only thing I don’t like is when people “tag me” like: @Mission.

Yes!if you’re going to tag someone, use the proper name you numpties! I’ve had a few notifications for one of my many many banked name changes because someone hasn’t bothered to use the tagging facility properly.

I have them turned off though so now get none.

i like it, for similar reasons to posters above. i don’t post very often, if somebody tags me it reminds me to go back to the thread!

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 09/05/2018 08:01

I switched it off as soon is it came out as a feature.

I find it annoying.

It'll only be a matter of time before Mumsnet adds a "like" button.
