AIBU to think that Prince Louis...

...is contemplating doing a massive exploding poo that will totally ruin all those gorgeous white clothes and linens? Grin That is definitely what my DC would have done. But still, awwww. Cute wee baby.

My DS really looked like Winston Churchill for a while, before we realised he was tongue tied. Once we got the tt snipped he piled on weight and looked, well, like a chubby young Churchill probably.

There speaks a Mum!!

Praisebe · 06/05/2018 21:13

George always looks so sad he never smilesSad
In another note i read a hilarious American article about Prince George the other day stating he threatened to execute all his classmates for not been allowed to go home before hometime 😂 American tabloids do invent some rubbish

MuddyForestWalks · 06/05/2018 21:23

Maybe he did threaten to execute them. My DD trapped me in her Spiderman web from her web slingers the other day, so anything is possible.

I think George is quite shy. When he and Charlotte were going to see Louis, he looked very uncomfortable in front of the crowd whereas Charlotte looked like she was loving every second of the attention. Bad luck for him being 3rd in line if he doesn't get used to it.

The BBC accompanied the photo with the comment that he is not looking at the camera - why would he?!

Shy vs loving it

Lol a 3 day old can only see a few inches away from their face anyway. What a stupid comment. Mind you, there isn't much to say about a baby photo if you can't remark on the likelihood of a poonami.

I was reading an article about them today being "thrifty" by re-using clothes. Thrifty it may be, but I think re-using baby clothes is more of an emotional thing . . . you remember your older DC wearing something and can't wait to put the new one in it too.

Do you really think those were actually Harry's shoes? I know they are exactly like them, but who keeps shoes for 32 years???? Wouldn't it be more likely that it's some old fashioned firm who is still making the exact same style?

I suppose they could have been stored in a wing of some palace somewhere and dug up for re-use. It's considered unwise to re-use shoes, but I suspect these weren't worn very much by poor little Harry and I can imagine Charlotte coming across them in a pile of stuff and declaring "Mummy! MUMMEEE!! I want these shoes!"

starlightmeteorite · 06/05/2018 22:00

'He looks a little bit yellowish/reddish (mild jaundice may be?)'

That's nothing compared to the colour he was when he was born. I was amazed there wasn't a thread on here about it. Maybe there was? He was purple/blue in the photos on the steps. His hands looked very odd.

DrEustaciaBenson · 06/05/2018 22:04

I expect they just put the white outfit on for the photos, then whipped it off again immediately to keep it pristine.

It was Charlotte's birthday this week, so I expect it was her birthday photo as well as Louis'. I wish they'd released one that showed her face properly, as well as that one.

I think Charlotte looks as if she'll be a lot of fun when she's older. I liked the way she turned around to give an extra wave as they went into the hospital.

brodiee · 06/05/2018 22:04

I though that @starlightmeteorite ! He was a v strange colour but I wasn't sure if it was just the lighting / my phone screen display!

OutsideContextProblem · 06/05/2018 22:05

I agree with you OP. DH and I took one look at that photo and said “we know that look. You start filling the top and tail bowl and I’ll make up the Nappisan bucket.”

Praisebe · 06/05/2018 23:40

I doubt someone working for the royal family would be dishing private info on them like that and i doubt William and Kate are raising him to say or think things like that. Nonetheless the americans never fail to make me laugh with their gibberish

Baubletrouble43 · 07/05/2018 08:05

I also gave up buying white baby clothes because my twins were both amazing pukers. My brother whose daughter was born 8 months later was treated to bagfuls of puke stained/ badly bleached baby gros!

MrsDilber · 07/05/2018 08:17

Newborns look lovely in white. I just bought my niece the most beautiful romper outfit for her first birthday, all in white. Now at that age, it's just asking for a strawberry or spag bol stain. I couldn't resist it though and she has those baby chunky legs that rompers make really squigable. 😊

MrsDilber · 07/05/2018 08:18

Also I love how they dress their children. A real vintage edge to it. Looking forward to a photo of all three of them.

Yorkshirebetty · 07/05/2018 08:25

MrsDilber I love how they dress their children as well. Classic.

SoupDragon · 07/05/2018 08:41

All babies look like Winston Churchill.

DS2 didn’t. I remember glancing down at him once and seeing William Hague looking back at me. Most disconcerting.

AnnieAnoniMouser · 07/05/2018 08:42

He certainly looks pensive...

They definitely make cute kids!

Yorkshirebetty · 07/05/2018 08:58

@SoupDragon - my friend's baby looked just like Neil Kinnock! Confused

Baubletrouble43 · 07/05/2018 09:12

My best mates daughter looked like Matthew Corbett. Gingery head fluff and sideburns. My own dd1 had black sideburns like Elvis x

RedDwarves · 07/05/2018 09:16

Shy vs loving it Grin

Accurate.

CakeOfThePan · 07/05/2018 09:21

If I remember the sun ran a story on Harry threatening to get the army onto someone he didn’t like at school.

I thought it was bloody hilarious and probably something most small children who are aware ‘granny is the head of the army’ would say.

biscuitraider · 07/05/2018 09:31

Always makes me laugh any mention of "thriftiness" about the royal family. Some of the clothes geting passed down to younger siblings is nothing to do with thriftiness as they'd have us believe, probably done to let us know how like us they all are. A quick google of Charles and Andrews travel costs tells us how "thrifty" they are.

GreedyVegan · 07/05/2018 10:56

I dressed all of my children very similar, even the boys wore bonnets and I used coach built prams. He is beautiful.
