To ask you what small changes

...have made a big positive impact on your life?

I feel a bit like I'm treading water quite inelegantly at the moment. Work is tough, my son is going through a really tricky, wilful, sleepless phase (he's 18 months old), I have no social life to speak of, no partner, and am constantly exhausted, so when I do get time off (I get a night here and there and 2-3 hour slots once or twice a week) all I want to do is sleep. My skin is shit, my diet is terrible even though I love cooking and eating well, I rarely make time to go to the gym (I used to love running but still haven't got round to seeing a physio to address the issues with my pelvic floor following a difficult birth, so I can't run without weeing Blush), my flat is lovely but it feels like an uphill battle to keep it clean...

AIBU to think there must be small changes or things I can do which would make a big improvement to my overall quality of life? Practical things, small acts of self-care, fun stuff, exercise hacks....I am open to ANY suggestions. I love my son and I love being a mum, and I am not depressed... but life feels like an uphill struggle at the moment.

You might find the Headspace app helpful, it has 10 min guided meditations that are brilliant.

I agree with other posters that you absolutely need to prioritise your sleep. Personally I would ditch the breastfeeding ASAP and do some controlled crying. It’s very hard for a few days but it works and I think you are at the stage where getting the sleep is vital to both your wellbeing as well as your son’s.

Also could try 15 min HIIT videos on YouTube for exercise if your pelvic floor can cope, and Gousto boxes or Cook meals. And a cleaner if at all possible!

Sounds great, OP. More Flowers and the hope you get time to sit and smell them.

I got a balance board recently from Amazon and it has toned my legs remarkably - the Bluefinity Balance Board. I highly recommend it.

Supermarkets and charity shops have cheap clothes.

Walking every evening has helped me. Also using My Fitness Pal religiously and putting my planned food in the day before. Now I want to up my water.

Co sleeping mine has only recently started sleeping through at 5.5. But like someone else said at least two or three times a week I go to bed at the same time as him

Counting my steps has made a huge difference and I can see how small changes in my day make a big difference to the amount I move

30 day shred works if you want exercise you can do at home

Mostly be kind to yourself x
