Sneaking alcohol into arenas ...

Please don’t judge but I’m going to a concert next week and would love a few drinks but my local arena charges £8.50 for 1 vodka and lemonade .
Can’t affod prices like that.
If I was to hide some miniature bottles in my bra ..would they set off the metal detector?

If security gets too tight, there will be nothing for it but to carry a flask...err...internally Grin. You will be okay with that unless they implement strip searches, but I can't see them going that far?!

It makes me quite sad to think people need a drink that much

Have a look at the 'bev bag' on Amazon.

Health and safety for us is more in terms of what can be carried in containers ie- Acid, urine, anything in liquid form. H&S (as in HSE is the venue and organisers duty) and prime example of searches would be Manchester.

By no means do we do strip searches but the police can detain you If reasonable doubt exists - Females search females and always ALWAYS have a witness.

Bag searches for me are obvious and even medication found in bag we have a tent set up with medical staff to check, name and store meds for you and refusal (apart from sealed inhalers and epi pens) results in entry refusal.

Not the first time I've seen a doctor be called out the medical tent to check a concert goers catheter bag and find it's fake and full of Jack Daniels.

Rules are there for reason- again don't always agree with them all but they are due to become stricter and for obvious security risks etc

At Wembley Stadium they take your bottle top away... so the bottle can't be lobbed at someone...

I have had excellent success with putting a bottle in a shoe box or similar then padding it out, wrapping it up with nice wrapping paper and a bow with a fake card on top. Never once has my fake present been opened or inspected even when other checks have been in depth!

What other people drink doesn't make me sad. What makes me sad is the way some people are so desperate to profiteer from others at these venues. This stretches even to water in some cases - a basic human need.

Once tried to smuggle gin and tonic in a 1 litre sprite bottle into a festival. Security spotted me a mile off and gave me the option of binning it or returning to the campsite with it.

Band on in 5 mins I wanted to see and campsite was a mire of people and a good 20 minute struggle back against the flow.

So I necked it.

Can't remember a thing about that day. I woke up the next day half in and half out of my tent with a whole portion of Singapore noodles in my wellies (still on my feet).

Huge lol. If you're going to do it, small hip flask size bottles are the best option,,,hiding a 1 litre bottle isn't going to work...🤣
