Half a cheesecake in 24 hours? Semi light hearted

I made a cheesecake on Sat, shared it with a friend on Sunday, she had a slice and so did I, and she took a slice home, plated a sliver for dd, this left half a cheesecake (7" round, approx 2.5" depth)

I put remainder in fridge and suggested to au pair there was some cheesecake there if she would like some.

I have a headcold so couldn't taste said cheesecake yesterday, took ds to out of hours doctor after work last night, thought to myself while there, I feel a bit better now maybe I'll be able to taste cheesecake now. Got ds settled about an hour after coming home and went to fridge for cheesecake - it was all gone. Dd didn't eat her sliver so definitely didn't eat it, H has gout so off sweet things and ds didn't eat anything yesterday.

Is it a bit excessive to have consumed half a cheesecake in the course of one day?

I enjoy my food and have a sweet tooth but I exert some portion control and not eat it all the one day with the exception of Christmas Day perhaps.

AnneProtheroe that's brilliant Grin

I could easily eat half a cheesecake in half an hour, never mind a day!

Baubletrouble43 · 01/05/2018 18:39

I ate an entire cheesecake during an episode of poldark once.

That sounds amazing! Thanks. wanders off to make cheesecake forgetting the original point of the thread

I honestly think my cause of death is very likely to be attempting to eat an entire Nutella cheesecake.

TravellingFleet · 02/05/2018 13:37

Given the recipe I think she was more than reasonable to eat it all!

Bugjune · 02/05/2018 13:40

My god that sounds bloody divine!

Did she think she could take it home? When I've made cheesecake recently (Orange and lemon with a dark chocolate ganache top), there was quite a bit left after having guests (shouldn't have used a 16 inch tin...) When our cleaner came I told her to help herself, she took a small very polite piece, so i offered her some Tupperware to take some home if she wanted. She took it home for dessert for her DH and DC . I'd much rather food is eaten than wasted, this may have been just crossed wires.
