They will fanatically defend all Democrat positions and attack all Republican positions, which I personally believe is rooted in the majority of Indian Americans living there on temporary visas, since the Democrats are markedly more supportive of immigration than the Republicans.

I think it's well established outside the US (Commonwealth and Europe) that immigration and race aren't necessarily racial issues, with most Indians here feeling that immigration isn't the most helpful method to support other Indians or fight racial issues, with a focus on developing India economically being more helpful.

Versus Commonwealth/Europe, I also notice that Indian Americans don't tend to fight so much for day-to-day social issues that affect people in the community, such as homophobia. Exceptionally, Indian Americans don't poll high on polls for Islamophobia - though Muslims are mostly a foreign policy (or religious) issue there and the polls are more partisan.

The types of Indian that go to the USA and Europe are different too. I can only speak from experience really (work in financial services and use IT consultancy companies many India based), but the ones who tend to opt to go to the US tend to be less well established or younger. Maybe this is different in other sectors. But we really struggle to entice well established (more experienced) professional Indians to the USA and need to use UK, Canada, or Europe based jobs (that require on/off travel to the USA as a sweetner). I think in my industry at least quality of life is becoming as important as earning potential, and with Indian quality of life improving at a faster rate than the US, Europe is the preferred option.
