Playgroup worker said this to DC. AIBU?

Speaking to DS (2yo) in front of DD and I:

“I’d take you home if I could. You are just so gorgeous!”

Pointing and speaking to DD (3yo):

“I’d leave her. No thanks! She’s too...I don’t know.”

AIBU to think this is just not acceptable?

Depends whether your kids have a sense of humour and understand their own personalities or not

That was a weird thing to say. I wouldn't like it, but tell us, what did you do or say?!

It's a joke to tell a kid you want to take him/her home with you because they're so cute/sweet/whatever. No big deal, IMO.

Telling another kid you don't want them - not ok. It's mean, implying there's something wrong with him/her.
