Dogs out till 12pm?

I live in a top flat with two children, the person in the groundfloor flat has three yorkies that she has started letting out all day from lunchtime till midnight. I get that the dogs need some outside time but the constant yapping/barking is keeping my kids awake and making me feel pretty stressed.
I've mentioned it in passing on the stairs but get a ' they just need a bit of air' back. The person in question sits in her front room with the telly on super loud so I doubt she even hears the level of barking from the back. Is this ok? AIBU?

She's not letting them out. She's shutting them out because they're a PITA. It is a noise nuisance. Explain its keeping the kids awake and keep a note of times and duration etc. if no improvement then put in a noise complaint.
If they need a bit of air then perhaps she should get off her arse and actually walk them?

Its not ok, most landlords have a clause in your contract about noise, how loud it can be and how late. So talk to them, and mention they have 3 dogs, because sometimes there's a limit.
Tell them you tried to talk to the other tenant and got the brush off.

Sorry, should be 12 midnight. I have not seen her walk them all autumn/winter and they were stuck inside so I feel a bit bad complaining, but they bark at literally everything when outside.

That sounds annoying.

I suppose you can ask nicely. If that doesn't work look at the lease on your flats. Otherwise you have to go through the council noise complaints.

Dog barking is irritating. There are 2 dogs near me that are kennelled and they bark incessantly all night.

why do people buy dogs if they wont walk them? dont they realise it is a decade or more of exer cise and carrying excreta?

start with the council. it will be a long battle.

The only difference with them being outside is they can go to the toilet when they want. They'd probably thrive more if taken indoors and stimulated/played with.

Our dogs do not get out when the sun is at its hottest in the summer so indoor stimulation does.

Midnight is well out of order especially if she knows ur children can hear them. The only time our dogs would get out then is if they weren't well.

I'd mention it again and ask her if she can take them inside at some point and especially not leave them outside after 10pm. I'd never leave my dogs unattended at any point and we have a secure back garden. Not even to pee lol

Don't feel bad! If you have a dog then you walk it. Every day. I've only had mine a year and a half nearly. I missed one day when it was really very icy and a danger to walk on the street and one day when I had a horrendous asthma attack and couldn't walk.
Dogs need the mental and physical stimulation of getting out for a walk. Yep in the rain too.
These are bored and probably untrained too. Angry
