Worst that can happen is they say no.

Amanduh · 26/04/2018 19:51

Asda will take back their oen branded items without a receipt and will give you a gift card

*own

Nothisispatrick · 26/04/2018 19:59

I would probably just chuck it but I am lazy

LolaTheDarkdestroyer · 26/04/2018 20:00

Is it worth it? It's like 59p Coat you more in petrol.

LolaTheDarkdestroyer · 26/04/2018 20:00

Cost

kezzy13 · 26/04/2018 20:02

Yes you can take it back they will give you refund onto gift card and possibly an extra amount as a goodwill gesture (Can you tell I've done my stint working at asda Hmm)

MismatchedStripySocks · 27/04/2018 07:55

Asda are great. I bought what I thought was duck with pancakes for £4 (the picture had duck and pancakes) When I got home, no pancakes and on closer examination of the packaging, they were not supposed to be included. When back to the very large store (minus the duck) and asked if they sold pancakes to which they said no Hmm We then got refund and double back so £8. I was just a little confused at the misleading packaging but worked out ok in the end.

I wouldn't bother taking it back, but I would email them about it. Chances are that they will email or post you a gift card for a few quid.

Any time I've had cause to complain (eg there was an issue with funny tasting milk from Morrisons a year or two ago) I've emailed them and said why I wasn't happy with a product but aren't planning to go back to the store soon. Sometimes they ask for a batch code or an expiry date so they can investigate, so don't throw the squash away just yet.

Is the squash bad in some way or has the recipe of the squash changed due to the sugar tax and it's now got (more) artificial sweeteners in than before?

I'm not happy at all about how this has been dealt with as it's now almost impossible to buy drinks without sweeteners in so everything now tastes disgusting and makes some people ill, so I think it's important that the retailers and manufacturers know people aren't happy about it. If people are drinking too many calories, they need to cut down or drink more water, not drink the same volume of shite tasting artificially sweetened crap.

I don't think it's worth it. And why would you give it to DS again after he was already sick after having it?

GladAllOver · 27/04/2018 08:57

Why are you buying that made up stuff anyway? Give your child the proper juice. You can always dilute it with water if it's too strong.

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 27/04/2018 08:58

Because when children are sick you don’t know the cause immediately or sometimes ever?

I’d take it back next time I went in.

EdmundCleverClogs · 27/04/2018 09:00

Highly doubt it. They couldn’t care less when we were having problems over deliveries constantly being incorrect and causing us weeks of issues. I doubt they would compensate this. I don’t really know what the OP expects the shop to do in this case either, there’s usually ‘customer satisfaction’ contact details on the packaging.

Why is on threads like this, some arse decides to totally miss the point and make ridiculous judgements on other parents choices? It’s a bit of squash, not arsenic Hmm.

Hi
Thanks for the reply’s think i will pop it down when I next go in. I gave it to her again because I did think
Anything of it when she was sick the first time. Only when she was sick again I realised.

gladallover I either give he squash or she constantly pesters for boob when trying to feed ds.

I probably worded my post bit wrong. Trying to see if anyone else has had an issue with it. My dd has never been much of a sicky baby/toddler, so if anyone else had had problems mights suggest there’s something wrong with the batch etc.
