Troll threads

AIBU to think some troll threads shouldn't be deleted? Not the ones that are really offensive, or trying to get money or anything like that. But I've seen two today where the troll and moreso the replies have been absolutely hilarious (tampon gobbler anyone?).

Sometimes I wish they'd stand. I bet I'm missing out on loads that get deleted in a timely fashion

Usually you can spot them a mile off like the shed one today. However I did think one yesterday was s troll and reported it and got flamed and called a bully.

You didn't get flamed for reporting it, you got flamed for troll hunting and bullying, and rightly so. The thread is still up so your troll hunting skills are shit.

BTW I know there always loads of trolls about but I think the number of troll hunter posts has increased an awful lot recently.

If there's a hilarious thread report if for Classics. Goodness knows there are enough trolls in there already.

If there's a troll topic (ugh) it will just encourage more trolls to start pointless topics to get onto the thread. Also, who decides it's hilarious and not harmful? If they then go on to post a harmful topic (as so many do, they build up a posting history) does the 'hilarious' one still stand?

Why on earth would you want to encourage them?

You're right, no-one did.

It just seemed a lot of people were crowing about her account going. As if that would be the end of it.

I think she was so candid about her actions and even suggested her account might be deleted because she knew she couldn't really be permanently deleted iyswim.

May or may not have something to do with
a) the sheer amount of gullible idiots who couldn't spot a troll if it walked up to them, shook their hand and said "I'm a troll" Even it farted, troll-like in their face, they'd nominate it for classics whilst pissing themselves and spilling their tea.
