whollyfather
God Save the Queen/King is the nation anthem of the United Kingdom. I am aware that a discussion regarding the national anthem took place.
At sporting events where England, Scotland and Wales compete against each other they can and do use individual anthems.
England -Jerusalem
Scotland -Flower of Scotland
Wales - Land of my fathers.
Counterpoint your link is a rambling outdated piece of rubbish

Perking continuing with spreading lies for Boris&May, I see. I don't know what editorials you are looking at but this is the one I posted:

Mattis Drops Syria Chemical Weapons Bombshell: “We have no evidence”
23rd April 2018 / United Kingdom

Oh I was looking at the source for your editorial, which is an editorial from InterPressService (says so in your extract). Sorry, should have made that clearer.

The source editorial is datedlined NEW YORK, Mar 28 2018 (IPS).

I generally try to trace back sources rather than take at face value the blog post about a blog post about an online editorial about a blog post. You remember counterpoint, last time we did that it turned out the actual source for something Russia-related was Sergei Lavrov, Russian Foreign Minister... So, someone with an axe to grind.

TheHulksPurplePants · 23/04/2018 19:09

counterpoint Saudi could give a shit about Christian communities in the ME. This is about Assad's ties to Iran, and the shite/Sunni divide (to a lesser extent).

PerkingFaintly · 23/04/2018 19:12

I didn't bother reading the derivative editorial, because the source editorial said something verifiably false, viz:
"Nor has the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) made any irrefutable claims on chemical weapons use" wrt Syria.

Whereas the OPCW states that the OPCW has found chemical weapon use in Syria:
OPCW Fact-Finding Mission Confirms Use of Chemical Weapons in Khan Shaykhun on 4 April 2017

There is no official English anthem. The English Rugby Union internationals sing God Save the Queen.
Sometimes Land of Hope & Glory or Jerusalem is used.

DairyisClosed · 23/04/2018 19:18

Well the rise of extremist Islam is also a concern.

counterpoint · 29/04/2018 12:52

After the deathly silence from our mainstream media (report ban?) it's been hard to find the results of the OPCW assessment to verify Boris&May's lies about the use of chemical weapons by Syria.

This is all I could find - posted here with the sad realization that unless it's from the mouth of the BBC I shall get accused of being a Russian troll again (yawn):

*Chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the Russian General Staff Col. Gen. Sergey Rudskoy has announced that the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) had confirmed that there were no chemical weapons found at the Barzeh research center in Damascus despite the US officials' claims.

The official further noted that thousands of people could have died if there was any chemical weapon on the sites that were attacked by the US-led coalition.

"Immediately after the attacks, many people who worked at these destroyed facilities and just bystanders without any protective equipment visited them. None of them got poisoned with toxic agents," Rudskoy said.

He said the logic of strikes on alleged facilities with toxic agents in Syria was unclear, because if toxic agents had theoretically been stored there, tens of thousands of people would have died after the cruise missile strikes.*

So let me get this straight - you rail against the ‘msm’ but are using links to the following organisation to validate your usual tin foil hattedness...

formerly The Voice of Russia and RIA Novosti) Sputnik is a news agency, news website platform and radio broadcast service established by the Russian government-controlled news agency Rossiya Segodnya.

counterpoint · 29/04/2018 15:09

So, go and find me the results presented by the BBC or some other agency that you deem 'truthful' because there seems to have been some sudden close-down on letting us know the findings.

If you fail, ponder on this:

Like Craig I was a senior civil servant but in the ministry of defence not the fco. I had plenty of dealings with all three intelligence agencies. It seems to me that the reason none of the MSM are doing any investigating/reporting of the Salisbury affair, apart from official handouts, is that the government have slapped a D-Notice over the whole incident and it is not possible to report that a notice has been issued.

Do you actually have any information to convey or are you simply intent on perpetual trolling?
