I'm 37. I'm overweight and unfit. I'm not happy about this. Would it be very unreasonable to think I could celebrate my 40th by running the london marathon

I fancy Loch Ness marathon next

I've done London once before.... it's a long loud running party! But not great for serious running....too busy

I did it! Took me over 6 hours but the crowd will carry you all the way! It feels like such a celebration so would be an amazing thing to do on your journey!

Definitely possible!

I would start with couch to 5k, then work up to a few 10ks, a half marathon, and then you should be able to move up to the marathon fairly easily. It's good that you are planning ahead because it takes time to do this safely.

100% you can do it!

My friend recently had cancer and he is now attempting a world record for running form Lands End to John O'Groats to raise awareness.

The human body can do awesome things and I think you will be surprised how much you can achieve.

Good luck :)
