AIBU to think a sensible 15 year old can babysit for a few hours in the evening?

Would you leave a very sensible 15 year old to babysit 4 (sleeping) children for a couple of hours in an evening?

Children all very good sleepers. Just wondering what age people would do this? My husband and I looking forward to being able to go for a quick pub meal together once in a while again.

My (mature but only just turned) 14yo DD babysits for a number of our family friends, kids aging from 12 down to 2. We also happily leave her with our younger children (12, 5, 2) for a few hours and have never had any issues. They’ll be fine - he’ll probably enjoy having the house to himself when all his siblings are in bed. Have a great time!

@Drainedandconfused ... yes , my son has sn and just accepts whatever we say . He isn't poorly at all but I like to be able to check on him . We did have an incident where my dd went into his room to check on him and it scared him into hysteria and we had to rush home as she couldn't calm him so we thought this was a better option .
We have them all around the house although not in dd or our bedrooms . My dh is quite techy and it always amazes people I can check ds from my phone .

I would be more than happy to leave the 15 yr old in charge in your situation. I'm more agog at your 11 year old going to bed at 8pm Grin.
