what is? what is the diffrence between platonic friendship and having an emotional affair.

If you are hiding this 'friendship' from your OH, I would say the relationship means more to you than you are letting on.

Sex.

If a husband doesn't like his wife having opposite-sex friendships then he's controlling, emotionally abusive, red flags etc.

If a husband has an opposite-sex friendship then it's an emotional affair.

I think @brokeForYou was highlighting the apparent double standards when it comes to opposite sex friendships on Mumsnet - it's ok for married women to have them but not married men & heaven forbid a married man is friends with a single woman
