Was this rude?

Went out with a few friends last night. One friend doesn't drive so I offered to pick her up, others do but was meeting us there. I left my DS (14 months - lone parent) with my parents for the evening while we went to dinner. My DS has 4 teeth coming through at the same time and was a bit grumpy but my parents insisted I still go.

After we had finished our meal my mum text so say that DS was fine, just getting tired but happy with cuddles. I had to get him home for work & Nursery next day (40 mins drive with pick up included) so decided to leave early. I asked friend who drives if she wouldn't mind taking non driving friend home to which she replied 'of course no problem' then I said to non driving friend 'is that ok? Sorry to abandon you!' She said it was fine don't worry. She has kids too and understands.

Was I rude? I feel awful about leaving her there although she had a lift home and no one minded Blush

pompomcat · 18/04/2018 21:52

@namechange6000 sounds fine to me, your (driving) friend said yes and your other (non-driving) friend was OK and got a lift back... Smile

Tiredtomybones · 18/04/2018 21:52

Nope. It's fine.

MMcanny · 18/04/2018 21:53

Mightymucks · 18/04/2018 21:55

Nope. Other driver sounded happy to do it.

Hiptroubles · 18/04/2018 21:59

No. Sounds like you have a lovely group of friends

Sparklesocks · 18/04/2018 22:03

No fine, not like you left her stranded!

namechange6000 · 18/04/2018 22:09

So relieved! Was just a bit worried about leaving her there and springing it on driving friend!!! They are great friends Grin thank you
