Why do pull up pants have to have pictures on?

My toddler is going to wee and poo in them. What a waste of ink or whatever they use. Plus the pattern looks like they have leaked or worse, the ones with red patches look like there is blood on them.

DC had blood in his poo when he was v poorly. It gives me a shock every time I notice the red patch.

Are there any plain pull ups out there?

Tesco budget ones used to be plain. And are very good!!

Agreeed. Tesco value ones are plain but I’ve noticed they’re not available in every store.

It's been a while now ... but don't all nappies pretty much have some picture or pattern on them?

Iamagreyhoundhearmeroar · 18/04/2018 10:15

Isn't it to show whether they're wet or not, because the picture goes blurry when they are? You can see at a glance if they need changing, without having to physically check.

My dd’s pull ups have elephants on them.. front of elephant on the front, tail on the back. It’s very helpful when I am exhausted/distracted!

DD is potty trained now but I remember this being a huge problem.

Not because of the environment Blush but because they put different bloody pictures on all the nappies. There was a phase of ONLY wearing the ones with owls. In the end, after trying to convince DD the owls were hiding behind the unacceptable trees/tortoises/flowers, I just drew them on.

It's like the people who make nappies have never met a toddler!
