100 year old drivers

So apparently this is entertainment. It's terrifying. Personal opinion is that everyone should retake their test every year (with the licence renewal). And it should be competency based. These people may be judged by the experts as being okay but I would not like to meet them on the road.

I watched this - they weren't any worse than 90+ of drivers I see every day (and they can't all be elderly).

There are plenty of aggressive and dangerous drivers who could ace a "test" and then carry on causing mayhem, nothing to do with age.

My local motorway is in chaos (again) today because some tosser has turned their car over on the entry sliproad - I'd bet a considerable sum that wasn't an elderly driver.

Where the Police were told, and visited the driver concerned but took no action.

IME older drivers / their children pay for any damage caused by them rather than go through insurance so the statistics aren't really reliable.

I think the idea of a compulsory retest every 10 years is brilliant! For all ages. I think it would sharpen up my own driving A LOT.
