To tell M&S that Sparks is rubbish?

Just had a survey come in asking my opinion on the Sparks card . I hope they are wearing their safety gear !
It must be the worst thought out reward (?) scheme ever . I only use mine for the charity donations they give and regard it as their way of gathering information on my shopping habits rather than a way of rewarding me .
Does anyone like this card ?

The new TK Maxx one is nearly as bad. There re no points given but if you use your card you get a 'reward' the following month. I assumed the reward would be some sort of discount voucher, but no. This months reward is 'a chance to win' a £50 experience voucher. That is just ridiculous.

Sparks is a waste of space though. I have always shopped at M&S especially for food. I get 5% through work which helps.

Agree that the Boots card is better although Boots need to do something about their pricing. Time and time again what is on the ticket is not what has been run up at the till and because you cannot often see what is being rung up you don't notice until you leave the shop. I have had a assistant query what I was saying and literally leave the till with me to check the shelf much to the horror of the people queuing behind me. All for £1-£2!

I gave up on it very quickly fiddly faddly waste of time

I hate it but carry on using my card in the hope that M and S will one day convert my thousands of points into cash. It seems so unfair that points are accrued but without any explanation of their value or of what they are for. What is the difference between having 1000 or 100 000 points? I also find the offers quite vague, so it might say 20% off prepared salads but I am then scared to buy things which may or may not count as being in this category. Really unclear and annoying.

But I can get Sparks points every time I 'shwop'! That's just embarrassing 😁

Oh wait, is that a real thing? 🤔 I'm so confused

It’s rubbish - “here’s a voucher for £5 off when you spend over £100”
Yeah, cheers Hmm

BarbaraofSevillle · 16/04/2018 15:47

My offers are OK. I've got £1 a pack off bacon at the moment, 20% off bread and £5 off jeans.

Previously I've had a pound off the 3 for £7 deli offer, free extra sides with the curry or dine in deals and £5 off when I spend £30-40 on food and wine. I like their cava, so I wait for it to be on offer anyway, buy a few bottles and get an extra fiver off. Bargain.

I pass a big food only store on the way home from work so often pop in to pick bits up, so it works well for me.

I gave up with Morrisons More card too - whenever I got a voucher, it was a fiver off a £40 spend at least with Clubcard vouchers and Nectar I can use the money off any value spend. Never bothered joining Sparks and many on MN have said it was merely a way of gathering information on customers.
