To hate a mummy vlogger?

I know we are all supposed to bow down and love them and admire their seemingly perfect lives but my word I’m sick to my god damn teeth of them.

Especially Emily Norris, Rebecca Meldrum, Then new ones like The Perks Of Being A Mother, Sammybird, Mylifeandkids.

Just put the camera down and live your life!!!!

What you’ve done though now is give these vloggers you ‘hate’ so much some free advertising. Most of us have never heard of them. However, now due to your post some people might look them up and like them, follow them etc.. so they’ll end up being more prominent. Was that your intention? 🤔

Yogafailure · 13/04/2018 10:14

I don't even know who these people are 🤷🏼‍♀️

LookMoreCloselier · 13/04/2018 10:14

I find them annoying, but strangely am often drawn to watching more. It's the smug faces that wind me up HmmGrin

Divorcequestions · 13/04/2018 10:16

Who are these people?

Another who has never heard of any of them and lives my life quite happily with out vlogging in my life.

Mind you I hate reality TV so watching a video of some one doing something inane is just a waste of time.

CadyHeron · 13/04/2018 10:16

This thread at least seems to have normal, grounded people on. The other Insta one has some seriously weird, over invested stalker types finding it hard to differentiate between fact and fiction Grin

Helloworld90 · 13/04/2018 10:17

Cosmos45 didn’t even think of that haha oh well they can enjoy their new followers it can be a parting gift from me. No, let’s get real i just wanted a moan about them and wanted to know if I was alone in my thoughts. I doubt many people will actually read this and think to look them up.

MonsteraDeliciosa · 13/04/2018 10:19

I've never heard of any of them, and they certainly don't encroach on my life in any way.

Someone must like them if they keep doing this, so they can watch and you can watch something else, maybe?

MarshaBradyo · 13/04/2018 10:23

Even posters post too much on this stuff even when they say / claim they’re not over invested so it can look extra marketing for them - although admittedly it doesn’t look like the case here

I’m so glad I’ve never seen any of what you mention

Emmasmum2013 · 13/04/2018 10:29

Stop watching them then, and delete facebook while you are at it.
Take some of your own advice - live your life!

TinyTino · 13/04/2018 10:31

Facebook is full of shit everywhere you turn! People posting photos of their dinners, cats, cakes - yawn! The vloggers and click bait are some of the least annoying. I deleted Facebook a while back and soon realised that I've gained back about an hour a day.

How much time do you actually spend on Facebook to be so annoyed by this?

Clandestino · 13/04/2018 10:31

They appear in my newsfeed on FB when someone shares some vlogger's "ah, it's the wine time of the day" or whatever shit. Don't know the names but they are either surrounded by laughing children looking all like angels/screaming children messing up the house with accidentally forgotten chalks, flour, painting colours etc./exhausted looking with a huge glass of booze in their hand.
I tend to ignore them but it's hard to avoid those artificially hysterical faces.

Seafoodeatit · 13/04/2018 10:35

I can't imagine anything worse then watching a vlogger. The names seem to be the same as the people on Instagram, don't give them a higher hit count if you don't like them/want to watch them.

YABU to hate them, hate is a strong word, too strong for people who are strangers.

NathusiusPip · 13/04/2018 10:38

@thecatsarecrazy I know it's worrying to think there might be a problem with your baby's hearing, but it's incredibly common for them to 'fail' the initial screen. It just means that the screener didn't get a positive response (a sort of echo) on that occasion - usually due to there being fluid in the ears from the birth, or to a noisy environment/fidgety or distressed baby. Was the screener not able to do an ABR test there and then?

CadyHeron · 13/04/2018 10:55

Somebody mentioned that they pop up when friends share posts of them.
There's an easy way to solve that if you don't want to see them.
Hover at the right side of the page they've been shared from and a drop down menu option to hide should be there.
Press "hide all from Annoying page" and you won't see any more from it.
Do the same to others that pop up too.
Jobs a good un.

Emmasmum2013 · 13/04/2018 11:13

The fake representation of people's lives is one of the main reasons I deleted Facebook a couple of years ago. I hate how people have this whole online persona that's just bits of their lives stitched together into a facade that they want the rest of the world to perceive about them. That and I was getting annoyed at people I wouldn't normally have a bad opinion on as they'd post utter drivel.
I was better off without it. I keep in touch just as well with the people I want to.

If you don't like the crap on social media, then just don't go on social media.

wakemeupbefore · 13/04/2018 11:20

What is a 'mummy vlogger'? What sounds does it make ... Confused
Unless it's mandated by the government or a core activity required for jour job - why watch them?
Why watch other ordinary people plodding about their ordinary lives? Confused
The whole reality tv, vlogger mania baffles me utmost.
We watch/listen/read the media of choice to be informed, entertained or educated and the abovementioned trends do none of it. Generally not very intelligent people making utter fools of themselves for 15min of fame and a bit of a £.
Hmm

Catspaws · 13/04/2018 11:21

I've never watched a single one. Just stop watching!

Your Facebook ads and recommended posts are targeted using an algorithm which tracks what you watch and read online. You'll stop seeing them on Facebook once you stop watching them. You can also right click on Facebook posts and there's a button saying 'this isn't interesting' which means you'll see less of that kind of content.

stop engaging and you'll stop seeing it - simple

Pinkvoid · 13/04/2018 11:22

I don’t know who any of them are because I largely avoid YouTube and definitely ‘vlogging’. I find it extremely narcissistic and outright bizarre. I have no idea how these people don’t feel like absolute weirdos talking into their camera while doing the food shopping etc. It’s just weirdddd.

kyrenialady · 13/04/2018 11:23

Watch them via hooktube if you must then they won't get money from ads.

I thought the bloody Inghams might have been mentioned, who pimp their kids to get views.

KittyWindbag · 13/04/2018 11:31

God this is super bitchy but when I was pregnant I stumbled upon Emily Norris on YouTube and her tips for newborns videos. Abruptly went RIGHT off her when she was showing off the memory box she had created for the day her son was born. She’d bought two newspapers from that day to put in the box and they were The Sun and The Daily Mail (vomit).

DianaPrincessOfThemyscira · 13/04/2018 11:39

I’ve got literally no idea who these people are. I really don’t get these family bloggers - don’t they just make you feel bad about your life?!

NotACleverName · 13/04/2018 11:44

I hear it costs approximately £0 to stop watching Youtubers you don't like.

Helloworld90 · 13/04/2018 12:41

kyrenialady Oh god yes I don’t get the appeal of them at all! The mums voice is so irritating.

We're not. I have no idea who these people are either.

Why did you have to inform us you have a brilliant life?

It doesn't sound that brilliant if you find yourself hating people whose videos you watch voluntarily.

Helloworld90 · 13/04/2018 16:47

I was simply stating it before someone decided to throw the jealousy card at me haha
