AIBU to not know what's happening

I ordered clothes from Dorothy Perkins 26th March.

After hearing nothing l contacted DP. They declared the parcel lost and said they would refund me the amount. However as the payment was still pending they would need to wait for it to be debited and then refund it. This happened today.

I then received an email later today telling me that the delivery is ready for collection. I went and collected it as l wanted to check it was that first order and not a subsequent one l had made. ..... it is the missing order.

Does anyone know what happens now? Will they re-debit my account?

sorry not really an AIBU but l wanted responses

But what is there to sort out? From what I understand you've got some clothes that currently you've not paid for. They are not going to charge you now without your authorisation. And you don't want the clothes. So just take them back to a store and explain it. They will just take them back. Simple!

Some people make life so complicated for themselves when it is really a case of using common sense 🙄

Not your problem is it? You have your refund.

'hi. These arrived after you processed a refund.'

Job done.

Ignore the Twitter complaints and online reviews for now and get on with making the effort to return the clothing.
If it ends up a holy, hot mess you can join in with the online complaints.
If not, you can put this behind you and never shop there again.

You've got your refund. There's nothing to lose.
