Then earlier as youngest was settling down despite not liking his pyjamas, i heard them laughing outside, followed by a bang on the door and repeated doorbell. They were gone when I looked out but I popped out to check the car was locked and saw th

mikado1 · 13/04/2018 07:08

Lol. Phone on way out. I am basically typing blind- no words until I'm about 5/6 words ahead. Ted was not at fault. Dad just absolutely roaring at sobbing child..

I feel your pain op

Where we used to live was like this every 5 mins or so the same kids would be at the door asking for DC it didn’t matter how many times you told them no they’d still come back and even come straight in your house! (Locked the door after that one)

Unfortunately their parents were of the ‘my little Timmy doesn’t do things like that/special snowflake’ category so you could speak to them without them getting aggressive etc

Moved at the end of last year a bit further out in the country and now get no one Grin

Cerseilannisterinthesnow · 13/04/2018 07:49

You couldn’t speak to them that should say

MallorieArcher · 13/04/2018 09:28

Fwiw you did the right thing talking to them, they think it's hilarious until they have to explain why.
DH once chased a gang of teenagers up the road after they absolutely hammered on our door when he was taking a nap, and ran off laughing and shouting'fuck you'he caught up to them and they tried surrounding and intimidating him but he started pointing out that he knew them 'ive known you since you were born, you live at x house, you live at no x' etc and told them he expected an apology or he'd go round and tell their parents.
Twenty minutes later we had a gentle knock and an apology, never happened since! Little cowards.
