Have booked a room for tomorrow. Seems i have booked it for 1 adult instead of 2. Non flex rate.
Would you
A) call them and risk it being an issue. Ie forced to book again
B) book in online and leave dh in carpark whilst getting key
C) book in in person and explain?

I'd turn up in person and say "change of plans". Have done this before, a few times, it's always been fine.

MaxPepsi · 12/04/2018 10:37

Its price per room isn't it?

And I don't think they have single rooms??

finks100 · 12/04/2018 10:40

It’s price per room, I normally book a room for one- business travel- they often assume I will be two people!

Britneylily · 12/04/2018 10:40

Price is the same for the room . The only difference is if you had pre booked breakfast for one you would need to add on a 2nd adult to that.

I would probably leave DH in the car for ease but they wont say anything it must happen all the time

CuriousHedgehog · 12/04/2018 10:40

Fairly sure price is per room and you won't have any issue if you both turn up to check in.

AJPTaylor · 12/04/2018 10:42

Yes, price is per room so it shouldnt make a difference. If it didnt have "no changes" all over it, i would just call them. I have a firm history of being too honest for my own good!

Will make no difference. It's price per room and if you've included breakfast you can just pay for the other on the day.

MrsW85 · 12/04/2018 10:51

You need to tell them there is an extra person. What if there was an fire and you had to be evacuated? I know it's highly unlikely but better to be safe than sorry

SweetMoon · 12/04/2018 10:56

Its price per room so you'll be fine. They dont have single rooms anyway. Alot of premier inns allow you to book in online or at those machine things in the lobby. Just do that and then just go in with dh, I don't think you need to hide him

ToadOfSadness · 12/04/2018 10:57

I don't understand this, about the fire. Unless people are actually counted in and out of rooms how could anyone know for sure who was in a room?

There might be 3 people booked into a family room, 2 of them go out on an overnight trip, taking their keys with them, or perhaps there is only one key which is left with the remaining person. If they don't log it with reception, no-one will know who is in the room, therefore it makes no difference. It just means that there might be 3 people in the room, not that there are.

QueenofLouisiana · 12/04/2018 11:10

If it’s the same one I stayed in earlier this week, the number of people booked is irrelevant to the number of beds ready to use! (Not once, 3 times!)

Scribblegirl · 12/04/2018 12:00

I also don't think it's an issue. DP booked for himself once around the time we started going out (he was staying with work) and his invoice listed the guests as 'Mr DP Surname' and 'Mrs TBC'. Of course, he immediately sent me a photo to point out that Premier Inn reckoned he was getting lucky that evening Hmm Grin

BlondeB83 · 12/04/2018 12:17

The price will be the same unless you have breakfast but they need to know that 2 people are in the room for fire safety.

hjublen · 12/04/2018 12:49

The stuff about a fire is rubbish. How does a hotel know if the people in a room have gone out late or getting up early. Do you think no hotel guest ever picks someone up in a bar or hires an escort for the night without telling the hotel.

BlondeB83 · 12/04/2018 13:27

The fire stuff is not rubbish, of course people go in/out but regulation wise hotels have a duty of care to know who is on their premises (or likely to be) at any one time.
