To have completely lost my motivation to exercise

I need to tone up and lose a small amount of weight as I have a holiday in July and a wedding in September.

I normally love going to the gym but after an illness and a bereavement I have not been for about two months. I can't get back into it and I am feeling guilty and beating myself up about it. I have lots of spare time so time isn't a problem but I find myself making excuses. I basically can't be arsed.

What should I do? Forget about it and just concentrate on losing the weight via cutting out the crap or somehow force myself in there? If forcing myself to go is the way to do it, how?

I use the Doctor's Best ones (as per uploaded pic). I've still got an unopened pot of 60 that don't expire until March 2019 if you'd like them? Just PM me your address if so (I can't use them as currently 8 months pregnant and not allowed to take while pregnant or breast feeding).

You’ve had a tough time, OP.

Why not try something different? Yoga or Pilates? Something gentle and that you can do in a small group? It may be that you just need to be kind to yourself and maybe a different approach.

I used to run and kept my weight steady, could eat pretty much what I liked and was fit as a flea. Then I had a sudden illness and could barely get about, never mind run. I gained weight and felt terrible. When I felt a bit better I started walking and doing a bit of gentle cycling. It wasn’t what I was used to but, it was what I could manage.

Question is, OP, when are you going back? Wink

I'm booked in every Tuesday but plan to do my own routine at the gym at least once a week as well.

Baby steps...Wink
