My husband and socks....

When he gets the children up (and to be fair to him, he does more than his fair share), he brings them downstairs to get dressed and have breakfast.

So far, so good.

BUT he brings them down at least 2 pairs of socks each. Sometimes 3. He can't explain why.
These inevitably get strewn around the living room, then lost, then re-found.

I have just collected 5 pairs and 3 odd socks up and the very sight of them is making me see red. WHY DOES HE DO THIS?

Halves?

@Aquamarine1029 - my DH actually did that. It’s the best thing that ever happened. Everyone wears black socks (except DD). Life is so much less stressful

I'm the only one in the house who sorts socks! Dp wouldn't have a clue who's socks are whose! I get brightly coloured ones for me and ds1 and 2 but dp will only wear black... they're so hard to pair up that I just put all his in his sock drawer and he just picks two out.
The one thing that annoys me in relation to socks and dp is that when he puts the washing on he doesn't check that he's put in all the pairs on socks, meaning you end up either odd socks as one is still in the washing basket! Confused

Just thought of another annoying sock habit of DH’s. On the rare occasion they do make it into the laundry basket he insists on pairing them together in a ball, one inside the other. Despite explaining to him repeatedly that it is a complete waste of time because they need to be separated again or they won’t get washed properly he seems incapable of keeping them apart. I’ve given up and he now has to live with slightly manky socks with the inside one usually still a bit damp. He doesn’t seem to have noticed.

When my kids got to you adults I went to next sale and bulk bought about 50 pairs Of black socks shoved them in a draw on landing! I have spent too much of my life matching up socks. My daughter and I had pink ones, wasn’t keen but at least the men didn’t steal them!

@KTCluck DP and DSS do the same, I don't really want to be fiddling around with their dirty socks (DSS is known to wear them for several days at a time, yuk) so they go in as is.
Your house sounds exactly the same as mine, even the sock throwing lol.

NeeChee I’m pleased I’m not alone in my suffering. Hope DD takes after me and not her dad!
